The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with the owner and staff greeting patrons with friendly smiles, enhancing the overall dining vibe. However, the focus here is squarely on the food, which is nothing short of impressive.
Each day features a rotating menu with three distinct dishes. This rotation keeps the options fresh and exciting, inviting diners to return often and discover new flavors. Additionally, one of these offerings is always vegan, making it an inclusive space for various dietary preferences. The star of the show? An ample serving of fragrant jasmine rice accompanies each dish, ensuring that your meal is both satisfying and hearty.
The quality of the dishes speaks to the authenticity and care put into every plate. Patrons rave about how the food tastes homemade, free from artificial flavors. Regular customers appreciate that Swiss-Thai is not just a quick stop but a place for delicious, thoughtfully prepared meals at an affordable price. The concept of a fidelity card, offering a free meal after ten visits, only sweetens the deal!
Beyond the main dishes, Swiss-Thai also offers a selection of starters and an Asian market filled with exotic items, from herbs to mooncakes, that elevate your culinary exploration. It’s a perfect spot for students, workers in the area, and anyone searching for an affordable yet quality meal.
In summary, Swiss-Thai is a remarkable find that melds the essence of Thai cooking with a cozy, approachable setting. “ Good Thai Restaurant in Visp. You order at the counter, usually there's 3-4 daily menus to choose from. Then take a seat outside or inside and you'll get your food within 5 - 10 minutes. ”
“ Excellent Thai food! There is always three choice for the main menu, one of it always vegan. The service is super quick, they’re very friendly. The food definitely taste home made, not artificially flavoured. And the price is very affordable. They even have a fidelity car, after 10 meals you will get one free. ”
“ - great food for a stop over and break after long drive - courtesy owner and friendly ”
“ Excellent place to eat before going to Zermatt. Not so far from Visp Train Station. Prices are affordable (in Switzerland standard) Food was very good ”
“ Correct food for an acceptable price. Good option for students and workers of the area. ”
“ The Swiss Thai is more of a snack bar than a restaurant. The service is limited to the delivery of dishes that are ordered in advance at the entrance. That's why I can't give the service more points, although you are always greeted politely and your order is taken in a friendly manner. There are three different dishes on offer, which change daily. On the one hand, this makes it exciting, as you never know exactly what is on offer (unless you check the weekly menu on the Internet beforehand, which is always up to date). On the other hand, it's a shame as there are often very good dishes that are then no longer on offer for several weeks. However, one thing is a constant: you are served a lot of jasmine rice with the dishes; a quantity that should be considered very sufficient by everyone. There is also a fixed selection of starters and an Asian shop in the main room. Here you will find some exotic flavours that you are unlikely to find in the local supermarkets. In short: perfect for lunch, as the quality of the food has never disappointed. Of course, you have to like Thai cuisine to come to a similar conclusion. ”
“ Simple curry dishes, taste are alright and pricing is good as well. Inside the shop also sells some Asian food items like Chinese herbs and even mooncakes. ”
“ Best value for food for our entire 10 day trip in Switzerland. Nothing fancy, felt like a nice home cooked Thai meal. Free WiFi. And had Asian supermarket in back with all the favorite sauces, seasoning, instant noodles, and Asian drinks! Must visit! ”
